Greetings! I continue to split my time between Columbia and Myrtle Beach, and I truly enjoy both places equally. My work with the Mike Kelly Law Group keeps me moving between the two, and with both communities being so vibrant and full of energy, there’s always something happening no matter where I lay my head.
That was especially true this past weekend when Myrtle Beach became the center of the golfing world as the ONEflight Myrtle Beach Classic took place at the Dunes Golf and Beach Club. The Dunes Club is a spectacular setting for a tournament, and showcased the “golf capital of the world” in the best possible light. It brought a multi-million-dollar boost to the Grand Strand’s tourism industry, and as a longtime (and proudly mediocre) golfer, I loved every minute of it! I watched the entire televised broadcast on Sunday, and the finish was every bit as exciting, if not more so, than the Truist Open in Charlotte.
With the success of the tournament’s first three years, I’m optimistic it will continue for many years to come, bringing tremendous public-relations value and financial benefits to the Grand Strand. If you have even a passing interest in golf, I encourage you to check it out next year, May 13-16, 2027. Wishing everyone a wonderful Memorial Day weekend!

We’re here for the people of South Carolina!
