March has now come and gone, but what a month it was! March has always been very special to me. We get to celebrate my Patron Saint’s holiday, St. Patrick’s Day – fitting, since my oldest son is named “Patrick Michael Kelly,” about as Irish a name as you can find. We also get the blooming of the azaleas, one of the true rites of spring here in the South.

 

And then, of course, we close out the month with March Madness. I love every team that wears the Gamecock logo, and right now I’ve still got one horse in the race: Dawn Staley’s Lady Gamecocks. We’ve even got an office pool going, and my wife, Laura, is absolutely demolishing the field!

 

All in all, it’s a great time to be alive in the great state of South Carolina. Here’s to carrying that spirit forward!
